Background
The 2026 Dragon 6 Mid-term Symposium will take place in Dublin, Ireland, from 29 June to 3 July 2026. During this week, the joint Dragon 6 Sino-European project teams will report on their mid-term results.
Language and Fees The official language of the Symposium is English. No participation fees will be charged. The Symposium is open to Dragon scientists who will be required to register to participate in the event when requested by the organising committee.

Objectives
The 2026 Dragon 6 Mid- term Symposium will bring together the project teams that will report on the progress of each project to date including the latest scientific results and in particular:
- Detail the Copernicus Sentinels, ESA, ESA TPM, and Chinese EO data acquired and investigated during the second year of activity
- Detail the in-situ data measurements and requirements particularly joint field visits made to study areas in the last year
- Report on the role and research of the young scientists within the projects
- Outline academic exchange programmes developed
- Outline the progress, status of the cooperation and recommendations within the project.

Abstract Submission

After completion of each of the actions 1 to 3, you should receive auto-generated emails with confirmations.
Oral Session – Principal Investigators and Young Scientists
A joint PI project abstract in English shall be submitted by either the European or Chinese project PI, including project results and young scientists research. A PDF version of the abstract in Chinese should also be uploaded as an attachment. Further details regarding the preparation of the oral presentation will be provided in the Guidelines section.
Poster Session – Young Scientists
All Dragon 6 Young Scientists are kindly required to submit their poster abstract in English for the adjudicated poster session using the same link as above. Further details regarding the preparation of the poster will be provided in the Guidelines section.
Programme
The 2026 Dragon 6 Mid-term Symposium programme will include:
- Side events
- Project team meetings
- Opening Plenary
- Four parallel scientific sessions organised by thematic area featuring oral presentations of Dragon project results including research contributions by Young Scientists
- An adjudicated poster session for Young Scientists
- Round table discussions with seed questions prepared by the Dragon coordinators
- Session summaries reporting on each of the thematic area outputs and discussions
- Closing plenary
